About

This used to be the home of the 2007 Komen Race for the Cure® which was held Saturday, September 15, 2007. There was also information regarding The Breast Cancer 3-Day 60-mile walk for women and men which was planned for Cleveland on August 17, 2007 with the aim of raising millions of dollars for breast cancer research and patient support programs.

The focus of the site was primarily on the race itself but now more encompassing information, relevant to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - Northeast Ohio, overall has found a new home. Improvements have been made.

You will find the remodelled site at: www.komenneohio.org/ Pictures of the 2007 race can be viewed there and you will also find the new address and phone numbers etc.

If you were just looking for informatin about the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation here is a little background.

It began in 1982 when 2 sisters made a promise to each other. 2007 was the 25th anniversary when the commitment was made “finally, once and for all” to finish what they started. “Susan G. Komen for the Cure: new name, new logo, same promise - to end breast cancer forever.” One of the results of this was the new home for the impproved website.

Komen for the Cure dedicated 2007 to engaging their “grassroots network of survivors and activists – the largest in the world - in a yearlong program of special events and initiatives, designed to help discover and deliver the cures.

The Komen Northeast Ohio Affiliate

The NE Ohio affiliate has raised more than 12 million dollars, since 1994, in their efforts to creat a world free of breast cancer.
